Cargo bike measurements

A while back when I was putting together my first look at the Tern GSD I went to G&O and measured a whole bunch of cargo bikes. Shortly thereafter I started getting requests for that information so I put it into a Google doc so that it could be edited by other people and accessed by anyone who needed the information. And then I pretty much sat on it unless people requested the information from me directly, which totally destroys the point of making it a freely available document in the first place.

So here it is!

Go add the information on bikes you own or come across and decide to measure. Go add new measurement columns for measurements you’d like to have but don’t see listed. Go post it other places and ask people to contribute. Go use it to decide which bike will be the best fit for you.

Happy cargo biking!

    1. Yep, it’s a great set of pics and measurements but had a rather different focus than what I was looking for when I took the measurements to start this document. Box bikes are much easier to quantify the cargo space of, but it’s not the only interesting measurement and the photo set up like that one doesn’t really carry over to rear-carry cargo bikes.
